Very Rev. John S. Ledford is appointed Vicar Forane of the Wheeling Vicariate for a period of three years, effective Aug.4, 2020. This is in addition to his current assignment as pastor of St. Jude Parish in Glen Dale.

Msgr. Joseph L. Peterson is retiring from active ministry, effective Aug. 4, 2020.

Father Martin Smay is appointed vice rector of the Cathedral of St. Joseph in Wheeling, with residence at the cathedral rectory, effective Aug. 4, 2020.

Father Gary P. Naegele is appointed pastor of St. Boniface Parish in Camden, Good Shepherd Mission in Glenville, and St. Clare Chapel in St. Clara, with chaplaincy responsibilities with the Federal Correctional Institution in Gilmer and Glenville State College in Glenville, with residence at the parish rectory in Glenville, effective Aug. 4, 2020.

Father Christopher Turner is appointed associate pastor of St. Ann Parish in Shinnston, St. James the Apostle Parish in Clarksburg, and Sacred Heart Mission in Salem, with residence at the parish rectory in Shinnston, effective Aug. 4, 2020.

Father Nye Joseph Wiley is appointed associate pastor of St. Michael Parish in Wheeling, effective Aug. 4, 2020.

Father Joseph M. Konikattil is appointed chaplain of the Knights of Columbus Marian Council No. 942. This is in addition to his current assignment as administrator of St. Peter the Fisherman Parish in Fairmont.
