Msgr. Joseph Peterson is appointed as rector of the Cathedral of St. Joseph in Wheeling, effective immediately. Residence at the cathedral rectory is effective June 19. Msgr. Kevin M. Quirk, J.C.D., is assigned as priest in residence at Mater Dolorosa Parish in Paden City, St. Vincent de Paul Parish in New Martinsville, Holy Rosary Mission in Sistersville, and St. Joseph Mission in Proctor with residence at the St. Joseph Mission Rectory, effective immediately. Very Rev. Carlos L. Melocoton, Jr., V.F., is appointed administrator of St. Michael Parish in Wheeling with residence at the parish rectory, effective June 19. Very Rev. James R. DeViese, Jr., J.C.L., J.V., is appointed Judicial Vicar of the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston, effective June 10. He is also appointed chaplain of the State of West Virginia Catholic Daughters of the Americas for a period of two years. These appointments are in addition to his current assignment as pastor of St. Patrick Parish in Weston, St. Boniface Parish in Camden, and Good Shepherd Mission in Glenville. Father Brian Crenwelge is assigned to the office of Director of Vocations of the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston, effective immediately. This assignment is in addition to his current assignment as administrator of Mater Dolorosa Parish in Paden City, St. Vincent de Paul Parish in New Martinsville, Holy Rosary Mission in Sistersville, and St. Joseph Mission in Proctor. Father Dennis R. Schuelkens, Jr., is assigned as Director of Clergy Personnel for the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston. This appointment is in addition to his current assignment as pastor of St. Joseph the Worker and Sacred Heart parishes in Weirton. Mr. Alex Nagem is appointed to the office of Diocesan Financial Administrator (Chief Financial Officer) ad interim, effective immediately.
