These changes/updates are affected by and in addition to changes/updates to pages 45 & 46 of the Christian Initiation section, Item b. RITE CELEBRATION OF CONFIRMATION,
section II. Preparation for the Rite,  Items F. & H.

Please replace these pages in your binder copy of the diocesan Liturgical Guidelines as soon as possible.

Post publishing CORRECTIONS to the Diocesan Liturgical Guidelines:

• On page 98 of the Celebration of Christian Burial, Item B. General Principles #4.b. 2), the second paragraph should read in bold:
Funeral Masses may NOT be celebrated on the following days: Holy Thursday and the Triduum, and Holy Days of Obligation. In the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston, funerals are not to be celebrated on any Sunday.

• On page 3 of the General Introduction, the quote under Item g. should read:
“…reasons of health, lack of space, the large number of people present, or some other good reason” (GIRM #43). Change noted on 7/3/2012

Post publishing CORRECTIONS to the Diocesan Liturgical Guidelines:
• On page 65 of the Sunday Eucharist, Item B., #2, the last sentence in the first paragraph under the quote should read,
“In the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston, a priest cannot celebrate more than three Masses in one liturgical day.”
