Evangelization and Catechesis, Office of

The mission of the Office of Evangelization and Catechesis of the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston is to serve at the honor of the Catholic Diocesan Bishop and to exercise his Apostolic ministry, fundamentally by assisting parishes and their catechetical leaders to bring the good people of West Virginia into personal relationship with Jesus Christ and membership in His Church. We work in the specific areas of responsibility of this office; namely – parish youth catechesis and adult faith formation, lay ecclesial ministry and catechist training, apostolates of the laity, and in ministry to married and engaged couples, families, youth, young adults, and college campus communities.
