This Diocesan Office works to empower parishes and parish leaders (including pastors, deacons, and lay employees) to provide ministry to their people, in the areas of:
- Evangelization (sharing the Gospel Message with non-parishioners)
- Parish-renewal efforts
- Youth catechesis (faith formation, religious education, PSR, and sacramental-preparation programs)
- Catechist training
- Adult faith-formation programing (including RCIA)
- Marriage and marriage-preparation ministries (including marriage-prep retreats and online programs)
- And family-life ministry by providing:
- Support
- Resources
- Financial assistance
- Guidance
- Direct ministry
- Trainings
- Parish presentations
- Networking
- Professional development
- And event promotion.
This office is the diocesan hub for the ongoing education and formation of catechetical leaders (DREs, CREs, RCIA Directors, Youth Ministers, Campus Ministers, Marriage & Family Life Directors, and other Lay Church Workers), throughout the diocese.
