You have a question. You need assistance. You’re not sure who to ask. There are a few people that come to mind. You send one email addressed to all of them.
Each one may believe that one of the others will respond – leaving your message unanswered.
Or worse, multiple people stop what they’re doing only to provide a redundant response.
If the problem can be solved by one person, ask one person. Then another if needed.
