Most Rev. Mark E. Brennan, Bishop of the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston, is joining fellow West Virginians in Charleston for the annual Pro-Life Rally Day at the Capitol on Feb. 7.

Bishop Brennan will speak at the rally and offer the invocation beginning at 9 a.m. in the lower rotunda. Those in attendance will join the Bishop as they are introduced in the House/Senate Galleries when sessions begin at 11 a.m.

In advance of the event, Bishop Brennan released the attached statement on pro-life issues in our state and country. In it, he reiterates the Church’s teaching that every life, that of a mother and that of her child, is precious and deserves our respect and help. He also calls on Mountain State faithful, and indeed all West Virginians, to work toward strengthening and expanding programs that support pregnant women and their children.
