Holy Childhood Association

Through Baptism, Catholics are called to share their gift of faith with others and be a part of the worldwide mission of the Church. The Holy Childhood Association (HCA) offers young Catholics an opportunity to grow in their faith through mission education, sacrifice and service for others. A Pontifical Mission Society, HCA focuses entirely on the concept of children helping children throughout the world.

For the 2010-2011 school year, HCA’s materials will focus on the theme,

"Lord, I put my faith in you" (John 9:38)

Started in 1843 by Bishop Charles de Forbin-Janson in France, the HCA helps school children to become missionaries to their brothers and sisters in missions located in 113 nations. The students are taught about different countries where children are in need and what life is like for them. The purpose of this society is to teach about the merits of sharing their love and faith in Jesus with these impoverished children through daily prayer, spiritual and financial sacrifices. HCA is a unique and special education program that encompasses spiritual formation and religious and social studies education.
