Today’s Lenten Reflection
Saturday, February 17
The First Reading continues where the reading from Isaiah left off yesterday. Isaiah’s message is one of justice. The community has a responsibility to care for the poor and suffering. When we walk in the ways of the Lord, our hearts yearn to serve our neighbors. When Jesus calls us to take up the cross, it’s not just a burden, but the sign of hope and resurrection. Who in your community needs to be fed, clothed, and sheltered? Today’s Readings: Isaiah 58:9b –14; Psalm 86:1– 2, 3 – 4, 5 – 6; Luke 5:27– 32.
